Savvy Cruise Tips
1. Cruises are selling out at record paces. Be flexible with dates and cruiselines. Ask about sales for that week. Every day we get fax specials and every week NCL, HAL and WINDSTAR have special sales for select dates which must be booked immediately and are super savers.
2. Book as far in advance as you possibly can 6-12 months. Cruise deposits are refundable until final payment. 3. By booking early you get the best prices-prices tend to rise as the ship fills-Not the Opposite as people falsely believe. 4. By booking early you get the best cabin-the cabin of your choice. Your cruise counselor will assist you with information to help you make the right choice. Did you know that the lowest price inside cabins and suites or cabins with balconies sell out first? If you want one of those type cabins-the early bird gets the cabin. 5. If prices go down we will get you the lower price or return your deposit and rebook at the lower price. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. 6. Book next year's cruise this year and save$$$. 7. If you have a pre existing condition make certain that the insurance you pay for includes a waiver of pre existing conditions-this may mean paying for your travel/baggage/medical insurance within 7 days of deposit or requesting your agent to get you outside insurance. Don't find out the hard way that your medical condition will cause you to lose money if you cancel. 8. Ask about new age sensitive and family travel insurance. This is a recent and money saving offer by several large travel insurance companies. Check your current medical insurance to make certain that it will cover you out of state or out of the country. If it does not make certain that your travel insurance will provide that intrastate or foreign country coverage including medical evacuation. 9. Attach multiple tags or labels to each piece of luggage, whether checked or carry-on. Enclose ID inside each bag as well and make certain that labels are always current. 12. Find out about group cruise rates if you have friends, family or work groups that want to travel together on a cruise-often a group as small as 15 can get huge discounts and even a free berth for the tour conductor-be a Pied Piper get free travel and even on board credits for your friends. 10. Yates Travel is the expert in travel for people needing special arrangements-our counselors are all Accredited or Master Cruise Counselors-Accredited by the Cruise Line International Association-an honor bestowed upon a select number of travel agents across the country requiring many hours of study on land and sea. 11. Tell us which ships you have sailed on before-past passengers get better prices. Tell us if you belong to AARP or have an AMEX Platinum Card for the same reason. We want to get you the very best prices. LIVE THE DREAM |
