More Tips for Travellers

1. Airline schedulers load their new prices into computers at Midnight.

2. The best airline telephone bargains can be had by calling on Tuesday or Wednesday.

3. During the winter months and peak travel periods always request a paper ticket not an e ticket. If you need to change to another airline while at the airport or in a foreign country you cannot do so without a paper ticket.

4. If your flight is cancelled. DO NOT WAIT IN LINE at the ticket counter call the airline's 800 number immediately.

5. You can buy unclaimed/lost baggage at www.unclaimed/baggage.com at deep discounts

6. You can buy short term airline club passes for about $50 a day (ask for a free pass first)-worth the price when facing a long delay.

7. Bring your own water on flights-Do not drink the water on international flights.

8. Have some clothes packed for each family member in each suitcase. If one bag is stolen or delayed at least each person will have one change of clothes until the missing luggage is found.

9. Put an extra luggage ticket with your information inside the suitcase or tape a business card inside the suitcase.

10. In the spring and fall, cruise lines send their ships to different parts of the world in order to take advantage of the seasons. These are called repositioning cruises and they can be tremendous bargains.

11. Honeymooners have a great chance of getting upgraded to first class on airlines. Don't be shy let the gate agent know.

12. If you go on vacation for several days be sure and disconnect your automatic garage door opener. This will prevent someone on the same frequency from opening it and preventing entry by a thief.

13. If you want to be compensated or moved to first class-volunteer to be bumped if you have some extra time or wait until last to board. Negotiate your price and demand upgrade to first class if your seat has been given out.

14. Take pictures of all the cr edit cards going with you (front and back) and take a picture of your passport. Store these in a different place than the originals.

15. Always buy travel insurance within 7 days of deposit of your trip-this will insure that you have pre-exisiting condition coverage for you and your family members. Don't buy travel insurance from the cruise lines and if you buy insurance from a tour supplier (non cruiseline) ask what that insurance covers and what exclusions apply.

16. Enjoy and Live Your Dream.
